61306 “MAYFLOWER” ON THE BLUEBELL

MAYFLOWER ON THE BLUEBELL
With the kind co-operation of the Bluebell Railway, on 23 March Steam Dreams successfully ran their LNER Class B1 4-6-0 No. 61309 ‘Mayflower’ through to Sheffield Park with a fully-loaded excursion from Southend. Howard Cook just happened to be on board and managed to record the occasion for posterity between official duties. Once again resident and visiting locomotives were well positioned giving rise to some interesting photographic opportunities.
